Definitions and advisories
Samoan citizenship by marriage may be granted to individuals who have been continuously married to, and living with, a Samoan citizen for a minimum of five years. Applicants must be living in Samoa and intending to continue to do so at the time of application. Note however, that meeting all the requirements does not necessarily guarantee that an applicant will receive citizenship. The determination of each application is made by the Minister upon review of the application.
